Interactive Investor has now extended the functionality of our award-winning discussion boards. Registered users can now apply to become a discussion board 'owner', giving you the ability to create your own discussion board for private use.

If you have an ongoing issue or subject you'd like to discuss with like-minded investors in a private environment, private discussion boards could be the answer. Perfect for share clubs, or groups such as action groups, they offer the following advantages:

• Board owners can create a dedicated discussion board for their own use
• Board owners decide who has access to the boards, and therefore who can participate in board discussions
• Board owners can add or remove a registered user's access to the discussion board at any time.

You’ll need to apply for permission to become a private discussion board owner on Interactive Investor by first calling our contact centre on 0845 88 00 267.

Registered users will be given permission to create and maintain boards entirely at Interactive Investor's discretion.

Private message boards will be subject to the same terms and conditions as all Interactive Investor's discussion boards.
